Account level unlocks cars. Car mastery unlocks parts for one car. CR buys crates, not the level gates. The official description says 7 cars. The garage directory names 10. Trust the card in Change Car.

How to choose

  • Stay in Class D and want a faster free car: Freccia HF at level 3.
  • Need Class C before level 6: Rascal S. It is lighter, but slower and less powerful than Freccia on the spec sheet.
  • Want all-wheel drive: Saetta HF at level 6.
  • Want the strongest complete free spec sheet: Kaze RS at level 10. Falke E3 arrives earlier and is rear-wheel drive.
  • Want the Class S car: the Orkan 9S pass. It does not replace learning the stage.

Class letters are what race limits use. Group 4, Group A, Group N, and Group B are descriptions. Saetta HF can be Group A and Class C at the same time.

Change cars

Press C, Change Car, or 2 in the garage. Q and E browse the CAR page. A yellow border is the preview. The green check and YOUR CAR mark the car you will drive. Previewing a locked car can change the big display without changing the car you spawn. Enter moves on to CO-DRIVER. Backspace steps back.

While already driving, B, PLAY, Change Car leaves the current car. Continue closes the menu and keeps the car you have.

At account level 5 with 154/340 XP, the next level is 186 XP away. That bar is not Freccia mastery. For a later goal, add each level's own threshold and subtract your current-level XP once. Do not multiply 340 by the number of levels left.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play Backseat Rally solo?

Yes. On the CO-DRIVER step choose AI CO-DRIVER. You still drive. The passenger is labeled RALLY BOT, and a friend's avatar can ride as that AI.

Are account level and car mastery the same?

No. Account level unlocks cars. Mastery is tracked on each car and can unlock performance parts. A rewards screen can show both bars at once.

Why will the stage not start?

The car has to be stopped inside the start box. STOP IN THE START BOX, BRAKE TO A STOP, and MISSED THE START BOX are different prompts. Press Enter only when the panel says START STAGE, then wait for GO.

How many cars and stages are there?

The Roblox description says 7 cars and 5 stages. A garage directory names 10 cars, and four stage names are documented: Pine Forest, Alpine Pass, Riverbend Canyon, and Sakura Pass. The fifth stage name was not confirmed.

Do paint and fresheners make the car faster?

No. Paint, rims, cosmetic tires, and fresheners are looks. Performance parts and the tire compound are the menu that changes the rating.
