Stages, gold times, and weekly boards

Pine Forest and Alpine Pass have published lengths and gold targets. Two more stages are named by contracts, and the fifth name is still unpublished.

The game describes five stages across forests, snowy passes, and cherry-blossom roads. These are the names that show up with a real detail attached.

Stage What is known Gold
Pine Forest Stage 1, Northern Woodland, 1.5 km, 19 corners, 12 checkpoints Panel has shown 1:12.0 and 1:20
Alpine Pass Stage 2, 1.6 km, 20 corners, 13 checkpoints, snow after the woods 1:23.5
Riverbend Canyon Named by an easy contract, any car, either seat Not published
Sakura Pass Named by a hard contract: beat gold by 3 seconds Not published
Fifth stage Official count is five. A fifth proper name was not in the stage notes Read the panel

Do not treat "rain" or "mud" as extra stage titles. Those are conditions on the roads. Cherry-blossom roads are in the official description, and Sakura Pass is a contract stage name; that does not by itself prove they are the same route.

Pine Forest medals

One published table, for the 1:12.0 gold, lists silver at 1:18.5 and bronze at 1:27.5. Another session's panel showed 1:20 for gold. Use the yellow GOLD label you can see.

A best of 1:19.2 displayed as a 7.3 second gap. Subtracting 79.2 from 72 gives 7.2. Keep the on-screen gap and the hand subtraction as different numbers. A positive gap is time you still need to save. A negative gap is already under the target you typed. Neither calculation awards the medal; the results screen does.

To convert a time, use 60 times the minutes plus the seconds. 1:23.5 is 83.5 seconds.

Where to stand

At Pine Forest, face the Stage 1 banner. Start is ahead, Garage is to the right. Weekly boards nearby split Class D and Overall. SOLO marks a solo run. Two names mark a pair. The Week's Top 3 display is the short list. Your own best is in the main menu stage information.

Open STAGES to move. Ghost text NO GHOST YET means that car has no ghost on that stage yet. You can still start.

A faster attempt

  • Do not brake every SLIGHT call. Pine Forest has a corner about every 80 meters, so unnecessary brakes are the lost time.
  • Brake in a straight line for HARD, then turn.
  • Practice the hard corners in Free Roam, where there is no timer.
  • Sector splits, when they appear, compare the current run with your previous best. One tutorial cited a 1:11 personal best and a half-second loss in sector 1. That time is the player's result, not a medal target.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play Backseat Rally solo?

Yes. On the CO-DRIVER step choose AI CO-DRIVER. You still drive. The passenger is labeled RALLY BOT, and a friend's avatar can ride as that AI.

Are account level and car mastery the same?

No. Account level unlocks cars. Mastery is tracked on each car and can unlock performance parts. A rewards screen can show both bars at once.

Why will the stage not start?

The car has to be stopped inside the start box. STOP IN THE START BOX, BRAKE TO A STOP, and MISSED THE START BOX are different prompts. Press Enter only when the panel says START STAGE, then wait for GO.

How many cars and stages are there?

The Roblox description says 7 cars and 5 stages. A garage directory names 10 cars, and four stage names are documented: Pine Forest, Alpine Pass, Riverbend Canyon, and Sakura Pass. The fifth stage name was not confirmed.

Do paint and fresheners make the car faster?

No. Paint, rims, cosmetic tires, and fresheners are looks. Performance parts and the tire compound are the menu that changes the rating.
